Association of independent schools in Finland
Finland has a common legislation for both private (state subsidized) and public (city or state owned) schools.
In addition to discuss current educational issues we want to promote the cooperation between school managements and teacher colleagues in Finnish private schools. Our priorities: education, advocacy, information, counseling, projects.
Our association organizes further training both for headmasters and teachers.
Association of independent schools in Finland has 54 members: primary, secondary and upper-secondary schools: General education schools, Christian schools, language schools, special pedagogic schools, upper secondary schools for adults. 20.000 pupils are attending our schools, which is 3 % of Finnish pupils.
